As of now, only the OpenGL core profile (version 3.2) is supported in the Windows virtual machine using Parallels Desktop for Mac. One that applies only to vertex inputs and fragment shader outputs, one that applies for varyings and one that applies for uniforms. The Parallels Desktop Engineering team is doing its best to improve OpenGL support in Windows virtual machines. There is no generic “layout(location)” feature.
